With 4.3 million subscribers and a RedBull documentary under his belt, The FatRat does not have anything to prove anymore. Yet, the DJ still was up for a challenge and decided to go for a different musical direction with his new release than he normally takes.
His latest song, titled ‘Electrified’, marks the first occasion The FatRat has ventured into the house genre and we have to admit: we are impressed. The song brings a certain 80s vibe with it, reminding us at times of the classic hit “Don’t Go“, and combines it easily with its house counterparts. A deep driving bass, Caribbean-like organs and a low-pitched voice round up this insanely catchy release that will for sure get you moving and grooving.
Lyrically, the track is all about passion which perfectly fits its melodic backdrop. Talking about the track, TheFatRat reveals that “Electrified’ is essentially a love song. It’s all about how another person can bring your state of mind to a whole new level.’”

A remix package of his, ‘TheFatRat Classics’, is also due to be released in May and will include some of the best community-made remixes of TheFatRat’s most popular songs.
