John Nappi obituary, Death Cause – Once John had finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama, he continued his education at Brooklyn Law School and eventually earned his law degree. He spent more than half a century working as a lawyer in Huntington. Following his retirement from the legal profession,

John relocated to Florida, and he has called Fort Myers his home for more than twenty years. Family was the most important thing in John’s life, and he treasured his roles as a husband, father, grandfather, and brother above all else. He had a fiery personality, and his loud and infectious laugh was something that his family and friends cherished. The fact that John was a devoted reader, had a strong interest in history and politics, and had a strong belief in the underdog all contributed to the fact that he had a deeper understanding of the world around him.

When people would exclaim “Roll Tide!” as they passed by, he would be overjoyed because he was a huge fan of his favorite sports teams and wore his Alabama cap with great pride everywhere he went. John regarded Harry Truman as his hero and preferred of all the presidents. He was impressed by Harry’s tenacity and commitment, as well as his leadership both during and after World War II.

John, you were a hell to those who knew you and offered them a lot of what they wanted. You are going to be missed. As an alternative to sending flowers, memorial contributions can be sent in John Nappi’s honor to the scholarship program at the Truman Library Association. Through its educational activities, the Truman Library Institute is dedicated to assisting in the education of our young people so that they can become productive and well-informed citizens for the rest of their lives.

Students from school districts that are experiencing financial difficulties are given the chance to participate in the “The Bus Stops Here” Field Trip Grant Program, which is a scholarship program offered by the Institute. This program allows students to visit the Truman Library and enjoy its museum exhibitions as well as its nationally known education programs.
