A South Meck High School teacher is facing charges for allegedly sending inappropriate text messages to a student.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department arrested 37-year-old Gabriela Cartaya Neufeld and charged her with two counts of disseminating indecent material to a minor. According to the CMPD, the investigation began in March 2023 after the school received a report of inappropriate behavior by a teacher.
