Roger Federer is widely-considered as one of the best tennis players that ever lived. During his career he’s set dozens of records. He’s now getting closer to setting a record as a parent.
According to reports, Federer, 32, and his lovely wife Mirka Vavrinec, 36, welcomed their second set of twins yesterday. Another set or two and Roger may have another record (no pun intended). Federer took to Twitter to announce the arrival of his second set of twins and that his daughters, Myla Rose and Charlene Riva, have brothers now.
“Mirka and I are so incredibly happy to share that Leo and Lenny were born this evening. #twinsagain # miracle
You have to love the names! Lenny and Leo. The anticipated arrival of his sons prompted the 32-year old tennis star to withdraw from this week’s Madrid Open on May 5th. Federer politely told his fans on Facebook that he’s withdrawing from the tournament. He informed them that he intends to withdraw to be with his wife, he’ll be training around home, and will absolutely return to the Madrid Open next year.
Congratulations to Mirka and Roger for their second set of twins. We wish them nothing but success!
